CapTex Tri
Memorial Day Weekend is a popular time to visit Austin for the athlete community as the CapTex Tri takes place in the city. The CapTex Tri is our local triathlon presented by Life Time that is a perfect way to kick off the summer season. The event brings in a variety of talent from top level athletes to first time triathlon participants. If you have never completed a triathlon before you will find it to be a rewarding experience. The race is comprised of three parts including swimming, biking, and running. Participants will begin their experience in Lady Bird Lake before hopping on a bike and then finishing with a long distance run. You will enjoy the Texas Capitol in the background before enjoying a finishing party over at Auditorium Shores. Registration is now open for the event and will quickly fill up. Drop In Summer Concert Series
Another popular event returning again this year in Austin is the Drop In Summer Concert Series. This event brings free weekly concerts featuring some of Austin’s best and favorite up and coming artists. The fun kicks off on May 23rd for the very first concert of the season.
