Sports

Austin is definitely a sports town. The TV show Friday Night Lights was filmed here for a reason. We are home to the University of Texas Longhorns which encompasses D1 college football, basketball, softball, baseball, track and field, golf, rowing, swimming and diving, and all the others.  We also have the Circuit of Americas track which is home to an F1, Moto GP, AND Nascar race annually.  FC Austin is the hometown professional soccer team and we also have the ATX-Open Tennis Tournament which is the city’s largest professional sports event. Basically, we don’t mess around when in comes to sports.

University of Texas Longhorns

The color is burnt orange. Very different than Tennessee orange or any other orange because clearly, it's burnt.
