The Trail of Lights takes over Zilker Park for a holiday experience like no other. The park will be decorated with over two million Christmas lights that will light up the park. Additional displays include 90 lighted Christmas trees with other holiday displays and lighted tunnels. The 2023 Austin Trail of Lights will be the 59th year for it to take place making it a tradition for all generations. Armadillo Christmas Bazaar
We all have plenty of holiday shopping to do when it comes to Christmas. You can still get all of your shopping done when you are visiting Austin for the holidays especially when you stop by the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar. This is not your typical shopping experience as the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar is an immersive and vibrant music and fine art festival that lets you enjoy a bit of shopping too. This event has grown year to year and is the top destination in the city for those looking for high-quality artwork. Live music and artisan gifts will also be available with the bazaar. The event will once again be held at the Palmer Events Center in Austin and is open December 15th through the 23rd from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM each day. Ventana Ballet’s The Watchmaker’s Song
One of the most timeless traditions for the holidays is seeing ballet at the local theatre for a holiday performance. Austin is home to the Neill-Cochran House Museum which will be featuring the Ventana Ballet’s The Watchmaker’s Song this holiday season. This unique performance is a jazz-centric rendition of The Nutcracker, one of the most popular Christmas performances.
