Experience “Cosmic Collisions,” a look into the power and beauty of the celestial forces that continuously shape and reshape our world. Go under the water with “Expedition Reef,” an immersive “oceanic safari” that takes visitors through the “rain forests of the sea” to learn about the role of corals, their growth, feeding habits, and more.

Lone Star Flight Museum

Come see some of the most unique, as well as historic aircraft to fly the skies! These “birds” didn’t just fly in the U.S., but throughout the world! Wander through and explore permanent displays of planes like the Beecraft Honey Bee – a high-wing cantilever monoplane made of all-metal. This historic plane never made it to production before the idea was scrapped, meaning the prototype at the museum is the only one in existence.

Next, take a look at the Boeing PT-17 Stearman. It’s the primary trainer craft flown by the U.S. and other Allied nations during World War II. There were over 8,000 of the open-cockpit biplanes made throughout its production years of 1934-45. Learn about the science and history of flight through a variety of hands-on exhibits. If you’re as brave as the pilots who took to the sky in the past, you can go up in one of the historic Warbirds on your spring escape.
