You will find all-day-long activities during this event such as a kite flying contest and Mossfest, a unique children’s music concert. Easter Egg Hunts

These churches have included Bethany Lutheran, First United Methodist Church Austin, and Riverbend Church. Other organizations that also host Easter egg hunts in the city have included Oak Hill Fire Department and Huston Tillotson Community Center. Each of these egg hunts occurs the Saturday or Sunday of Easter Weekend so you can find an egg hunt that works out for your schedule. Expect these free events to be welcoming and offer your children an exciting way to spend their holiday together. Perhaps the biggest and most exciting Easter egg hunt that happens each year is the one held at the Austin Zoo. Nothing is more exciting than hunting for Easter egg eggs as your family searches around the Austin Zoo with exciting animal exhibits nearby. This event will take place on Saturday April 8th with check-in at 8:30 AM. This Easter egg hunt requires registration beforehand to participate in the fun. All you need to do is to bring your Easter basket so your children can find all the eggs they can muster. There is a Little Hunters area that is designed for children ages 3 and younger. Easter Brunch
Another great way to enjoy your Easter weekend is by finding an Easter brunch nearby. Hundreds of artists from all over the world will descend upon Austin for this five-day event. Each performance is an intimate affair at local theatres or clubs. Large-scale projects will also be on hand in local parks and warehouses. Many of the artists who participate in the Fusebox Festival are Grammy Award winners.
