Each year local farms will be hosting their pumpkin patches where you can pick your own. All farms are located just outside of the Austin city limits making them easy to get to. Head over to Marble Falls and stop by Sweet Berry Farm. During the month of September, this farm will be hosting their pumpkin patch where you can pick and choose any gourd you see. Barton Hill Farms located in Bastrop has additional activities such as a giant corn maze and farm animals to feed and pet. It doesn’t feel any more fall-related than when it comes to visiting a pumpkin patch!

Visit the Austin Zoo

Nothing is more exciting for a child than seeing some of their favorite animals up close at a zoo. Luckily Austin has that covered with the Austin Zoo. Spacious habitats and exhibits highlight some of the unique creatures that call this zoo home. During the fall season, the Austin Zoo will be hosting their Boo at the Zoo every Friday and Saturday night for the second half of October.
