This event brings in approximately 100,00 people each year to the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Auditorium Shores is an outdoor concert venue so guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets for their area. The orchestra performance begins at 8:30 PM for an hour’s worth of delightful music. The “mile-high” fireworks extravaganza will start at 9:30 PM and shoot off over Lady Bird Lake letting the water reflect the dazzling display. Visitors are also encouraged to enjoy the fireworks show on the water by paddling out on a kayak or canoe. Locals often find the lake perfect for paddle boarding too. It is no surprise to locals that Willie Nelson is hosting another exciting event just in time for the 4th of July holiday. Each year he hosts the Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic which brings together the incredible music scene of Austin and the patriotic holiday.
